Default Analog stats from beginning of time, not beginning of month

My Analog stats program shows a cumulative count from the day the site was put up instead of just the counts for the current (or past) month. Can anyone give me a hand?

It should show both, and much more. Can you post a screenshot of the problem?

Mine are the same. Just from the begining and the last 7 days in parentheses.

Is there an answer to this situation? On my VPS Analog reports accumulatively too.

From the link https://[domain]:2083/frontend/x3/st...g.html?domain=[domain] one gets a list of months. For each month in that list the stats are calculated from the beginning. For example:

    Mar 09 stats
    Feb 09 stats
    Jan 09 stats

As OP put it aptly each month's report displays from beginning of time to the end of current month. How can this be stopped so each month reports the current month only?

I've shut off Analog long ago as I think many do due to the size of the report files. IIRC.

This page gives some details for cPanel's install of analog stats.
    http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/1...gs_analog.html
It also has a link to the main site.
    http://www.analog.cx/docs/meaning.html

Which if you poke around a bit there and read the docs, you might find this section, which states this:

Next, you need to know how to turn the different reports on and off. There are 44 different reports which analog can produce, if your web server has been configured to record the necessary data in the logfiles. Each one has a short name, and a code letter or number, as follows. (Note that the code letters are case sensitive: Z is quite different from z, for example).
    x GENERAL General Summary
    1 YEARLY Yearly Report
    Q QUARTERLY Quarterly Report
    m MONTHLY Monthly Report
    W WEEKLY Weekly Report
    D DAILYREP Daily Report
    d DAILYSUM Daily Summary
    H HOURLYREP Hourly Report
    h HOURLYSUM Hourly Summary

    [snipped]
From a quick scan of those pages it seems you might want to edit the config to your own tastes, if you want to use it that is.

You'd find the config file here I believe.

    usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/analog.cfg

If you open that file and take a peek, you see this message there:

    # Configuration file for analog 6.0
    # See http://www.analog.cx/
    #
    # Here are a couple of configuration commands to get you started. Add any more
    # you like from the Readme.
    #
    # Lines starting with # are comments.
    #
    # There is a much more extensive configuration file in examples/big.cfg
    #
    # If you need a LOGFORMAT command (most people don't -- try it without first!),
    # it must go here, above the LOGFILE commands.
    LOGFILE logfile.log
    # LOGFILE /old/logs/access_log.*
    # OUTFILE Report.html
    # HOSTNAME "[my organisation]"
    #
    # You probably don't need to change anything below this until you are
    # experienced.

I started to think that following in your steps and turning it off completely may be the best thing to do.

Thanks for your time and wisdom
