    Unhappy Another newbie question:

    I am noticing that the basic html tags that i know (very few)..well, some of them aren't working. For example, a fixed backround tag, backround music tag, and image tags. What am I doing wrong? I eventually gave up on the image tag, and used the html editor to insert the image....

    thanks

    The simplest solution is to go to a site that is using the html feature you want and view their page code. This can usually be found in the View menu of your browser.

    If you'd care to, Im having trouble with my drop down menus. I was experimenting with them, and now they will not link to anything. Can someone view my source code and tell me what Im doing wrong? Thanks!

    I'm not the best when it comes to javascript, but there are a few obvious errors on the page.

    First, the drop down menu code has to be inside the body tags. Second, the body style tag has to be inside the head tags. Third, the drop down menu code isn't quite right.

    For #3, I don't know what the code would be without looking it up, but I can do later if nobody else has something.

    For #'s 1 and 2, here is your code with the parts in the right place.

    Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>.she.ionizes.and.atomizes.</title>

    <style type="text/css"></style>
    body {
    scrollbar-arrow-color: #000000;
    scrollbar-base-color: #000000;
    scrollbar-dark-shadow-color: #000000;
    scrollbar-track-color: #000000;
    scrollbar-face-color: #000000;
    scrollbar-shadow-color: #000000;
    scrollbar-highlight-color: #000000;
    scrollbar-3d-light-color: #000000;
    }

    </head>

    <body text="#FFFFFF" bgcolor-#000000 link="#FF00FF" vlink="#FF00FF" alink="#FF00FF" background="bkrnd.jpeg" bgproperties="fixed" nosave>

    One could also use an online Menu Maker to make things easier.

    Nice.

    There you go phonelesscord. Rearrange the code like I showed, and use Website Rob's code maker, and your ready to go.

    Can I cry now? I used the code maker (pouting along the way because I want a colored menu....), and the menu looks wonderful, but nothing happens when I select something. *sigh*

    Not sure what you mean? The Drop down Menu works perfect? For different colours you need to use CSS code and that's entirely different.

    You're using 2 drop down menus and giving them both the same names and variables. Make them #'s 1 and 2 by changing 4 lines like this:

    Code:
    <form name="Jump1" action="">
    <select name="Menu1" onchange="location=document.Jump1.Menu1.options[document.Jump1.Menu1.selectedIndex].value;" value="GO">
    and

    Code:
    <form name="Jump2" action="">
    <select name="Menu2" onchange="location=document.Jump2.Menu2.options[document.Jump2.Menu2.selectedIndex].value;" value="GO">
