Can you create a domain.tld account?

I would prefer to create my user acounts as "userDomain.com". In the cpanel account info, it says there can only be 8 characters; can this be changed?

AFAIK, you cannot workaround that restriction. There are two main reasons: Firstly, it's historical (back in the day when you could only have 8 char usernames in unix) ; the second is the way that cPanel generates mysql databases and users for cPanel accounts which are prefixed with the account name and the length restrictions imposed by MySQL on them.
