    Default Cannot add A entry for hostname

    Hi,

    I keep getting this message via email:

    IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
    The hostname (server01.web-epoch.com) resolves to XX.XXX.XXX.XX. It should resolve to 0.0.0.0. Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain.

    Some are all of these problems can be caused by /etc/resolv.conf being setup incorrectly. Please check this file if you believe everything else is correct.

    You may be able to
    automatically correct this problem by using the ' Add an A entry for your
    hostname ' under ' Dns Functions ' in your Web Host Manager
    In WHM, I click on 'Add an A Entry for your Hostname', and to the right it gives me an error warning saying:

    '[an error occurred while processing this directive]'

    Upon clicking on that it says:

    No IP address found on eth0, make sure device is correctly configured, returning 0.0.0.0 at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/DIp/MainIP.pm line 145.
    Cpanel:: DIp::MainIP::getmainserverip() called at whostmgr/bin/whostmgr2.pl line 1592
    main::addaforhost() called at whostmgr/bin/whostmgr2.pl line 367
    What is going on and how can I fix it?

    What's happened here, for some reason, eth0 has no address. Suddenly, eth0:0 has replaced eth0, and eth0:1 is behaving as normal.

    In 'Basic cPanel/WHM Setup' I changed the main eth to eth0:0 and the problem disappeared.

    But I am still a bit confused to what and why this happened.
