Default Cannot install cPanel - "ELF binary type "0" not known"

I have performed a minimum install of FreeBSD-5.2.1-RELEASE (inluding Linux binary compatibility) and then:

    login as root
    mkdir /home/cpins
    fetch http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
    sh latest

    I get the following output:

    Creating directory intalld
    Verifying archive integrity... All good.
    Uncompressing cplyr1-cPanel...............
ELF binary type "0" not known.
    ./futex-test: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
strings: /boot/system.map*: No such file or directory
    ./bootstrap: ./install: not found

    Can anyone provide assistance?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    Default

In doing a minimum install, I discovered that Perl is required to run the 'latest' installer script.

Just installed Perl and the install worked fine.
