Default change mail client auto-configuration options

    Hello,
We have a Cpanel configured on host.ourdomain.com
Cpanel set email client auto-configuration script to set SSL IMAP and POP3 hosts to host.ourdomain.com while we have SSL IMAP and POP3 running on mail.ourdomain.com (host.ourdomain.com is not accessible on those ports).

I was wandering how can we change default email host in Cpanel so that email clients auto-configuration will be set with mail.ourdomain.com host for SSL connections?

    Thanks

This thread is from 2007 and I'm not entirely certain I understand the request the original poster had.

Please note that you can change the hostname for the machine or install a different SSL certificate for Webmail Courier, Dovecot, and exim services in WHM > Manage Service SSL Certificates area. If you need to use mail.ourdomain.com instead, then simply install that as the SSL rather than host.ourdomain.com in that section of WHM for those services.

If this is now what is needed, please provide further details and we would be happy to assist.

    Hello,

Is this feature already activated ? We would like to change some settings in cPanel > Mail Client Configuration for.. > Manual Settings.

When using the "Configure Email Client" option within cPanel, the SSL hostname values come from the name of the certificate for the respective service in:

"WHM >> Service Configuration >> Manage Service SSL Certificates"

Is there anything in specific you would like to change about this behavior?

    Thank you.
