Question changed IP of our site and now can't access old site

    Hi everyone,

My site was originally hosted with cpanel, but I have since pointed the domain to blogger.com. I had other domains that I thought would still point to my original site, but they are all now redirecting to the new site. The problem is I need to access pages on the old site, but i can't get to them anymore. I was previously getting to them by typing in my domain name/cpanel. now if I do that it tries to find the page on blogger and tells me it doesn't exist. Is there a way to log in to my admin panel using an IP or something other than the domain name/cpanel? Thanks!

    Hello,
If you know the old IP , you can login to cPanel from http://YOUROLDIP:2082/

I don't know the old IP, that is the problem. Is there a generic IP that all cpanel sites are hosted from? If not, how can I get in touch with someone that could help me get back into my old site?

There is no generic IP. You need to contact the old host that hosted your sites in the first place. They should have some sort of record.

1 solution works for all problems. Trying harder!

It was and still is hosted by cpanel, the issue is I changed the IP that the site points to, and now I can't get into any of the administration that I could previously get into by typing in domainname/cpanel. I wasn't thinking when I did it, so I don't have the old IP's. I took the site over from the original webmaster so I don't have any of the initial set up emails/ confirmations. Is this forum monitored/ supported by cpanel? I tried browsing around on their site for help and couldn't find anything, so I ended up here.

You need to contact your old host. We do not have any way of knowing the old IP address.

It was and still is hosted by cpanel
cPanel, Inc. does not host Web sites. We only make the software that your host uses to manage his/her server(s). We are not involved with the actual hosting of your Web site. You will need to contact your host for assistance with this issue.
