    Default Command Line Password change

    Hello,

I recently have had a server setup with CPanel/WHM installed and was unable to access the root login via the account manager. I clicked the reset password button and think the email may have been dropped as the address is probably not yet setup. Is there a way to change passwords from the command line on the backend?

I'm running Centos and have root access to the machine.

    Thanks for any help!

sounds like you were trying to log cpanel and not webhost manager
there is no root cpanel user only WHM and there would be no reset password

but the command line password change is

    passwd
