    Question ./configure - make - make install

    Hi
I want to set up my website for NINJAM - an online music program.

To do this on my linux system, I need to have several programs to deal with the sound and compression, programs - Requires: ALSA, ncurses, libogg, libvorbis installed.

I have found all these programs and put the tar.zip files under my root.

Call me an idiot, but when I read the installation docs, I can't understand a word of it.

To install, I have to use the command "./configure - make - make install".

I am afraid the instructions are no more elaborative than that! I can't work out where I would issue such a command.

Here is a link to one of the programs install doc:

I would be most grateful if anyone could give me a point in the right direction.

    Regards Hugeknot

This actually has nothing to do with cPanel, but to answer your question, those are shell commands you issue while connected to the server with a program like Putty.

If you have no idea what I said, do a search on shell commands.
