cpanel backup per account or entire mysql ? whats the difference?
You find the answer here:
Configure Backup
Thanks.. but I was looking for more of a explanation.. I am wondering if its worth the time and resources or not... That really didnt tell me to much of exactly what it does.
Hello
Creating a single backup for the entire MySQL directory can be useful in some cases. For example, if you have your MySQL data directory on a separate partition or drive that becomes corrupted, the ability to restore the entire MySQL directory from a backup would save time.
Thank you.

By saving the entire MySQL directory, you also get the complete mysql database tables along with the cphulkd, eximstats, horde, leechprotect, roundcube, modsec, and any other databases created for cPanel that aren't cPanel account specific databases.
Additionally, if you have any self configured databases that do not run under cPanel accounts, those will also be saved.
Finally, you'll get the log files in /var/lib/mysql such as the error log (hostname.err).
