It's an email about mailman not running. Did you only get 1 email or keep getting this same email? If you only received one email, then mailman wasn't running and it restarted it, so you can disregard the email.

Now, if you keep getting them, then mailman isn't starting for some reason. At that point, it would be something to investigate. We would need to know which it is (1 email or continuously getting an email every 5 minutes) that is happening.

I have this same exact problem. I get an email every hour or so..

mailman failed @ Sat Jun 4 16:34:43 2011. A restart was attempted automagically.

    Service Check Method: [check command]

    Number of Restart Attempts: 1

Cmd Service Check Raw Output: mailmanctl is not running

It is happening over and over as timestamps are different.
    Any info would be nice!
    Thanks!

I tried,,.. but after few mints its starts again..

    So I try

    root@server [~]# /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/mailmanctl restart
    Restarting Mailman's master qrunner
    PID unreadable in: /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/data/master-qrunner.pid
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/data/master-qrunner.pid'

Do you have mailman even enabled in WHM > Tweak Settings? If you do, then try to reinstall it:

    Code:
    /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/reinstallmailman --force
If you do not have mailman enabled in WHM > Tweak Settings, then go to WHM > Service Manager and uncheck mailman for enabled and monitor options, then Save the area.

    Tristan,

I have mailman enabled in Tweak Settings and after i run the command i get this message :-

    root@alexander [~]# /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/reinstallmailman --force
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/reinstallmailman is now deprecated. Please run "/usr/local/cpanel/bin/mailman-install --force" instead
Later when i run the said command i get this message in the end :-

    Problems found: 894
Re-run as mailman (or root) with -f flag to fix
Can you suggest what is to be done next ?
