cpanel login details

At the risk of looking really stupid, I have no idea what my login user name and password are to login to cpanel. I'm kind of going around in circles here now trying to understand this, wasting a lot of time, and getting confused. I am really-really old and technologically challenged. Can someone help me out here please? Valium doesn't help.
