    Default cpbackup-exclude questions

I have cpbackup-exclude.conf set in /etc. Will this exclude file be applied to each site that runs a cpbackup or will their local /home/username/cpbackup-exclude.conf file only be applied when running backups?

Do local cpbackup-exclude.conf for each useraccount get generated from the global cpbackup-exclude.conf file?

If each exists, user-level excludes in the user's home directory will be executed first, followed by system-level excludes at /etc/cpbackup-exclude.conf.

By default the files are empty; however, it is possible for a situation to occur where the file can be populated with existing custom excludes that were setup manually.

The following post should help to further clarify when a user-level exclude list may be automatically populated:

For additional reference I recommend the following documentation: Excluding Files from Backup Using cpbackup-exclude.conf
