Creating password protected subdomains with cpanel?

I have created a subdomain and password protected that directory. I set indexing to default.

How do I give that subdirectory its own cpanel.

You'll need to create the sub.domain.com in WHM as if it was a new TLD account. That'll create the users own cPanel.
