dedicated ip ssl question

First of all the forums here are stupid.
I would of done a search for dedicated ip but since ip is too short I cant
find my porblem.

Well i have assigned a domain a ip that no one else is on.

How do I make that dedicated or just by nothing else being on it does that make it dedicated.

Next over and over I have requested and installed a certificate
for example.com

when pulling up https://example.com I get nothing.

It put a ssl dir in my ftp. do i put the files in there or what.

If you checked the Ip box under the domain and password, then the IP you selected would be it's dedicated IP. If you didn't check that box, the IP you selected is ignored.

If you did not check the Ip box, the certificate won't work.
