Question Dedicated Server with VPS Logo?

Hi, this is probably a stupid question but, can a dedicated server have a VPS Optimized logo at the top?

We are currently paying for a dedicated server from a hosting company and since we are a micro corporations we don't really have much of an IT Department or anything like that so we have no idea how to check to make sure its a dedicated server. The logo at the top seemed like a giveaway that it isn't though.

If it can is there another way to tell if its dedicated or vps?

I am completely clueless on even the basics of working with a server. All I do is ftp files and create html/css/js/miva content. Is there a resource you guys could recommend that would enhance my knowledge of this subject? Preferably free but paid isn't a big deal. I'd like to learn more about this so I can make sure I'm not getting scammed now or in the future and could take advantage of any tools available.

    Thanks

The short answer to that is no.

The longer answer is: if you feel this is an error, submit a support ticket to our technical analysts and they can analyze the server.

    Default Tried it

I tried to submit a support ticket but I got the error "An Ip Address that is/was Licensed with cPanel. '67.225.243.60' does not have a valid cPanel product license!"

The license is provided through the host so I have no idea what's going on with it.

Are you sure that 67.225.243.60 is the publicly visible static IP address of the server? Perhaps it is a different IP address?

You can visit verify.cPanel.net to see if an IP address is licensed (assuming it's the publicly visible static IP address of the server, and not just a dedicated IP address provided to you by a hosting provider).

    Default Should Be

It should be correct. That's what I get when I ping the server and the site comes up when I put it in the url.

A server can have several IP addresses. Try running the following SSH command, it will return the publicly visible static IP address of the server (not just an individual website).

    Code:
    curl http://cpanel.net/showip.cgi
