Delete public_html folder

I wanted to know wether is it fine if I delete the ENTIRE CONTENTS of /home/user/public_html directory of a user
It contains many folders of _vti_* types.
Is it fine to Delete those files

Also if I am an root Admin and I want to know the databases of a particular account in a PHP cron job then how should I come to know of it

If you delete the contents of public_html directory your website will not work anymore.

Yes, its ok to delete the entire contents. As long as you are not using front page extensions its safe to delete _vti_* folders.

The databases for a particular account is located at

/var/lib/mysql

Hi,

Use file manager or ssh to remove the frontage extensions folders as sometimes it will throw errors if you try to remove thru ftp. This is because ftp wont display the hidden files inside folders while file manager displays all.

Is it ok to remove the .htaccess file as well!

yes, its ok to remove if you wish to delete the entire website.
