Hi. Can someone tell if I can deny a range of IP's from a site without entering one at a time? Example: deny IP's 85.0.0.0 through 85.255.255.255

HI,
I had this very question
But I don't understand your answer as I'm very, very new to using the Cpanel - and I am a user (not a site admin) looking for answers as my host is clueless... :|
Is there a way to use those iptables as a user, and not an administrator?
If so what, exactly, would I enter into the "Add an IP Deny:" field?
For example I would like to deny access from 217.174.*.*
Thanks for your help!

Hello,
If you want to use iptables, you should have the root access on the server. But if you use ip deny manager , it will block the ip using .htaccess file . You can add the block of ip using ip.
Eg : 217.174.
Then add, I hope it will help you to add the block of 217.174.X.X ips![]()
Thank you!
