Detailed information on CPANEL / WHM

I'm looking for detailed information on CPANEL and WHM. The documentation provided at cpanel.net is extremely limited.

I need detailed information about the various functions, what they actually do and how they are intended to be used.

Also, I information on the backend so that I can look into some simple customizations I would like to do. For example: I need customized DNS zones for accounts created either via the WHM create account function or via the API. But, I have no clue where to start.

Surely, as popular as CPANEL / WHM is, there's some good documentation somewhere!

there isnt a better documentation of the c-panel than at cpanel.net...
