    Default DNS forwarding not working

    Howdy:

I'm having an issue with my new server. For the life of me I cannot seem to get DNS forwarding to work.

I cannot forward domains for example

www.site.blah to www.site.blah/m (does not work)

    I cannot forward email

joe@site.com to jblack@site.com (does not work)

This is a new cpanel / whm server (My first and yes I'm noob before you ask =P )

I'm sure this issue is probably something I did not setup or a setting I have not seen.

Any help you may be able to provide would be appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

What you mentioned wouldn't be done with DNS.

The website forwarding would be done using the Redirect feature in cPanel or a .htaccess file.

Regarding the email, you would use the Email Forwarder feature in cPanel to do that for individual email accounts.

    Default

DNS forwarding is if you want to forward one domain to another. If you want to point it to a different directory or url, that would be a redirect.
