    Default dumb question but curious..

ok probably a simple question but i am wondering...

example domain.com just created ftp into domain.com see bunch of different folders...

is there a way to have the folders just show up as domain.com and inside that folder be the root directory for that site

instead of having to go thru the public_html file and all the other folders like the .cpanel-datasote etc etc

so if user 1 was to ftp into his newly created domain.com it would show up in the ftp as domain.com ?

    hope this makes sense

You mean like having domain.com be a folder that's a symlink to public_html like www is a symlink to public_html ?

Such functionality is not supported by cPanel/WHM at this time.

What you need to do is create the FTP user. When you create him, you are able to assign the directory that is that persons "root". Assign the user to "\public_html" and that will be the folder that he will see when he logs in using FTP. The other folders will not be seen.

    1) as newly created account
Create domain.com Default user is domain. This person will see all folders.

    2) add user
Add FTP user "user1" with directory being "\public_html" . FTP to domain.com with user name of "user1@domain.com" and this user will see only the public_html directory and any files/folders created under it
