Get yourself a good FTP client.

    What's an FTP client?

Does that mean you can't download a single file or Dir with cPanel? Or that you don't know how to do it either?

cPanel comes with a File Manager. Try it!

As Infopro recommended, you'd be better off using an FTP client. FTP standard for File Transfer Protocol - it's the standard (although insecure) method for transferring files from A to B.

Thanks, I have used the File Manager and have some FTP tools, no problems. Sometimes I like to edit/work on my site thru a firewall from my job that does not allow me to use any FTP tools. I can Upload files via the cPanel File Manager thru the firewall but just do not see a way to DownLoad files, just thought I was over looking something in the cPanel File Manager. It looks to me that you can not download files with cPanel File Manager. Is this correct?

    Thanks for your replys.

I too have the same problem and would enjoy if File Manager had the capability to download files/directories directly from it (instead of having to depend on FTP all the time).

Another control panel software has such download capability. It has a check box next to every file/directory whereby whichever file/dir you select, you can then simply click on the download, edit, move, copy, etc. button. WORKS GREAT!

I wonder why cPanel doesn't provide this download capability?
