    Default File Manager

    Does anyone know why file manager has no download option, ie. save file to local disk? I know we have open, but that doesn't always cut it.

    File Manager is not designed as an FTP client with up/donwload functionality. You can suggest adding "download" feature to the CPanel company: www.cpanel.net

    You'll have to use your preferred FTP client such as: WS_FTP or CuteFTP. Or you can use the conventional FTP function on your own PC, at the DOS/Command prompt.

    Select the file so that its name is displayed in the right hand section (below the options) then right click and "save as"

    On another note, you can use your own browser as an FTP client. For more info, go to:
