ftp acounts and file manager question

Can someone help me with this?
Setting up an area so people can login with ftp account and upload files, but cannot see or delete files.
I have setup an ftp account, set the folder permissions for the folder it points to to 333
It all works appart from I cant even access it to read the files using ftp with root account details.

Cannot even see the contents via file manager.

Is there a better way than this so that I (root account) can saee the files but people using the ftp acount cannot.

Hi Andy!

Some people here have tried this before and as far as I know without success but I may be wrong. Do a search and you may find a solution.

Why not create a directory and put an upload script in there.
That way your users do not need FTP knowledge and also can't see what they have uploaded only that they have uploaded a file once they get to the confirmation page.

Many of these scripts are available on the internet and if you cant find one PM me and I will send you one.
