    Default FTP ERROR EMERGENCY-Please HELP !!

    Hello
    The FTP server doesnt work and i dont know what the problem is .
    i have tried to fix it but i couldnt the FTP was work Great within 4days ago but suddenly it got stop and didnt work
    the firewall of server is enable and the FTP is allow in it too ,also i turned off firewall and it doesnt work though
    i have remove and install the server Pro-FTPD server instead of PURE-FTPD too but the problem didnt fix .
    i dont know maybe there's something in server that stop connection to the server .
    but there's not problem in server , everything is working in WHM fine but this one doesnt work !

    please Help ,

    i will provide a FTP user for test here please look over it and tell me a solution .

    That is a problem with your firewall. If you turn off the firewall it should work fine. The problem is the passive ports are not being allowed through.


    You really should change that pass and remove the username from the post.

    As eth00 mentioned, this does appear to be caused by your firewall not allowing the passive FTP port range.

    I edited your post and removed the FTP username and password. Since this is a public forum, exposing this information makes you vulnerable to attempts to compromise your server's security.

    Thanks for your reply , but the firewall is currently OFF !!

    and its not work !

    you know sometimes its work but just its listing the directories but after 5min it will not work again (

    please someone help .

    If there is no server-side firewall in-use then I would consider escalating the issue to your on-site data center technicians; they will be able to directly access the server and assist with investigating potential network connectivity difficulty. Without root access it is extremely difficult to suggest a more specific path towards resolution; both your upstream data center and cPanel license provider, (if different than the data center), should be able to assist with investigating the difficulty being experienced.
