Default FTP - Remove hostname from user

    Hello,

when I create a new hosting i.e. hosted.com and in that hosting create a new user, temp i.e. then I need to log in to that FTP account as username:
    temp@hosted.com
    and it's password.
Can the hostname be removed, so I could log in only with the username, without the @hosted.com part?
Can the FTP server distinguish from where this user is depending on the address that I'm putting in? Or is this impossible?

    Regards

Not for additional FTP accounts you create within your cPanel interface. For the cPanel account itself, it depends on the FTP software you are running.

As users can login using any hostname as the server (including those of other domains hosted by that server), that is not possible at this time.
