Default help: get rid of certificate warning while entering webmail

When i try to enter my webmail such as www.mydomain.com/webmail both IE and FIREFOX gives a warning. IE says "not recommended" and firefox says worse.

How can i get rid of these warnings for all my users.

    Tnx

you can add an exception… in FF, so next time it'll not ask you question.

It sounds like you are using the default unsigned SSL certificates provided by Cpanel. Do you have root access to the server? and a SSL certificate for your domain?

If so install your SSL certificate then under WHM --> Tweak Settings -->
"When visiting /cpanel or /whm or /webmail with SSL, you can choose to redirect to:"
    select Origin Domain Name

It is already selected Origin Domain Name but it is not my own problem. I have hundred of users and more email users. I cant buy a SSL for every single domain and in this conditions every single email users who tries to login webmail come accross with this warning.

How did you all the people get rid of this problem? In your servers, your clients are not getting this warning?

I want my users directly login their panel without any warning because they thought it is a mistake of me.

Then you will need to order a SSL certificate for your hostname (install under the Manage Service SSL Certificates section) then setup the redirect to your hostname instead of the origin domain.

You can also advice your customers to use the cpanel in the following manner.

    Howdy,

On my server, I bought a cheapy ssl cert for servername.host.tld and redirect all /cpanel /whm and /webmail traffic to that.

It removes those nagging errors and you can also use it for the mail services to remove those errors as well. Thirty dollars well spent IMHO.

    Thanks!

    www.xxx.com or sub.xxx.com

Because i noticed it goes to sub.domainname.com.

    Howdy,

The one I bought was for the server's hostname, which comes back to the FQDN of servername.domain.tld. That's what I'd recommend taking a look into.

    Thanks!

I ordered a ssl for "servername.domain.com" and then tried to install but it says:

The specified domain is not configured on the system. If you are intending to install a shared certificate you must use the username "nobody" for security and bandwidth reporting reasons.
SSL Install aborted due to error.

Should i order it for the only "www.domain.com" ?

Are you installing the certificate under WHM > Manage Service SSL Certificates > cPanel/WHM/Webmail Service > Install new Certificate?

    :2087 is WHM

And that also works without issue using a hostname registered wildcard.

    Howdy,

Sounds like you're almost there. Go to tweak settings in WHM and look at the heading "Redirection" and set both of those to Hostname.

That should clear the rest up.

    Thanks!

Default Separate certs for each domain

I'd like my users who are willing to purchase their own SSL certificate to be able to go to https://clientdomain.com/webmail to get their webmail, as well as secure their mail servers IMAP/POP.

As far as I can tell, there's only one cert per service in WHM, so if I go to https://myotherclientdomain.com, it produces warnings. Is it possible to install service certificates per domain?
