How to Add the banner?

Hi

Im very new to this and require someones help.

I have a site which i need to add my own Flash banner to the header of my site. The person that done my site said to 'send me the html/php file that needs editing' but the troble is i dont know where to find that file.

Do i look in css? If so how?

How do i upload the banner to mysite

You'll need to add the flash banner to either your index page (something like index.html, index.htm or index.php). If you are using included header, they might be something like header.html or header.php.

How was your site built? Is it using a content management system or was it built in html by a designer, or something else?

Ps Someone said to go into my FTP manager for an index file to put the .php in. Is this correct?

In cPanel, under the Files section click on File Manager. Then navigate to the file you wish to edit then click the edit button at the top of the screen.

From there, editing the document is the same as if you were editing the HTML on your own computer.
