Default how can i download cpanel at local first?

    Hi,

    when i finish os installing,

    i need to install whm/cpanel

    1. # cd /home
    2. # wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
    3. # sh latest

it will take a long time,

i want to ask if it is possible that i download the whm/cpanel on my DVD first,

when i finish os installing,i can install whm/cpanel from the DVD first,

then,i connect to the internet to update the newest whm/cpanel?

i think it may save lot of time for whm/cpanel program download.

    thanks

You can download that and upgrade to 5.2 later once cpanel is installed.

The upgrade should be between 200-300 meg of files.

If you have the bandwidth to run a web server this shouldn't be a problem.

The upgrade will take approx 30min- 2 hours depending on your machine and connection.

Note, the ISO is programmed to simply do the wget etc. upon first reboot, the actual cPanel/WHM software is not burned to disc.

Kinda defeats the purpose of doing a dvd version.

Why not roll the cpanel install tree into the dvd where you can do a disk based complete install, then grab any updates via the net ?
