    Post How do i connect an ftp account on cpanel, with cute ftp pro 7?

    i keep getting:
    STATUS:> Getting listing "public_html"...

    but i know the user and password are correct as i set them up. this is getting rather frustrating and any help would be greatly apprieciated. thanks, pleas email any suggestions to ed_shaw_4@hotmail.com

    Is this your own server? If not, you need to speak to your web hosting provider, if it is then what messages are you seeing in the relevant server logs?

    Sicne you get "530 Authentication failed, sorry" error, it is clear that your user and pasword is not correct. Try using the following information :

    Host : IP address OR domain_name
    User : user_name OR user_name@domain_name
    Pass : xxxxxx
    Port : 21

    User and password should be same as your Cpanel login details.

    thankyou, it was the username, it needed to be user@domain_name
    i am getting a different error now but i think it is because i was changing everyhig to try and get it to work:

    i will change the remote folder back and see if it works
