I'm rather new to cPanel too, however, sounds like you just want normal ssh access...right? Do you have root or other shell access to the server?

What do you think about using a SSH client?

In WHM you can't find a option to get a console.

You could also use cse from within WHM:

How could I forget this option but I don't think it is the tool for beginners. Correct me if I am wrong.

It's no more dangerous than using the root shell via SSH
