If you're asking "how can cpanel be setup so that it doesn't reside on the system drive..."... it can't.
cpanel ties into the system at many levels. You can split some functions, such as backups and home directories, onto different partitions, but the main cpanel software isn't a stand-alone package. It HAS to tie into the system. |

You would have to manually move the parts you want on a different drive, but be careful because symlinking sometimes causes problems with certain cpanel functions
