Question How to Skip Over .htaccess authorization on 2082/83 2086/2087

    Hello ALL,

I just installed CPANEL on a new server at: http://64.62.164.94/

    When I go to: http://64.62.164.94:2086/ and http://64.62.164.94:2082/
a .htaccess type authorization box pops up and asks for username & password. Actually, it does not have any username & password protection -- typing anything there will work.

My question: How to get rid of this? That is, how to NOT have this authorization box popping up at all? If it is in a certain .htaccess file, where is the file? If it is built in CPANEL scripts, how can I re-configure it or turn it OFF?

I've been spending hours searching for this .htaccess file and trying to figure out the cause of this issue, please HELP! Thank you very much!

By the way, I did not have this problem when I installed CPANEL on another server a few months back.

    WHM > Tweak Settings > Security >

Disable Http Authentication for cPanel/WebMail/WHM Logins (forces cookie authentication.) This will help prevent certain types of XSRF attacks that rely on cached Http Auth credentials
