How to use our partitions?

We are testing cpanel at the moment because we are currently hosting on plesk and cpanel seems to offer a lot more for us. The problem is, we have two raid cards set up for plesk installation, card #1 has 2 drives in raid 1, for boot and /home. Card #2 has 4 drives in raid 5 for /var/www.

We balanced the space out over the two drives as plesk uses card #1 for databases, email etc and card #2 for hosting the web files.

Changing the mount points is obviously fine, but cpanel seems to use /home for more than just the files. I would like to use card #1 for mail and DBs and card #2 for /home for cpanel.. is this possible with cpanel or have i shot myself in the foot?

Thanks!

/home is where web pages, cPanel data, mail and the majority of user-data is stored. You can also have multiple home partitions in a cPanel/WHM setup if you desire to spread users out across multiple drives. cPanel/WHM can automatically handle such things by ensuring new accounts are created on the partition with the most available disk space.

/usr/local/cpanel is where cPanel itself is stored

/var/mysql is where databases are stored in a cPanel/WHM environment
