Default I am newbie, hope someone can help

    Hi,

I wanted to upload files using Filezilla.
But I encounter problem right at the beginning,
when it prompt me to enter the server address and port when i using Filezilla.

Can advise me on the server address and port?
    My domain name is www.greencity.com.sg

By using Filezilla, does that means that I can upload all my files easily as compared to using Cpanel's file manger??

    Thanks so much.

Yes, you can upload files using Filezilla without problems. You can specify the server address as your domain name 'greencity.com.sg' (assuming your domain is pointing to the server you are uploading files on) else use the server IP your hosting company may have provided and the port number is 21.

    Thanks Chandro & Shekar,

I tried a few port numbers.

    Server : greencity.com.sg
    Port : 21
    cannot work.

    Server : greencity.com.sg
    Port : 2082
    it shows
    Connecting to server...
    Connected, waiting for authentication
    but no response anymore...

FTP is always port 21, if you cannot login via FTP there can be 2 reazons.

1.- there is not FTP server running there

    2.- port 21 is blocked

    Regards

    i do a test:

    Service scan
    FTP - 21 220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [TLS] ----------
220-You are user number 3 of 50 allowed.
220-Local time is now 15:31. Server port: 21.
220-This is a private system - No anonymous login
220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
    220 Logout.

ftp is working, then login and password is wrong.
