My recommendation is to go to the FTP Accounts screen in cPanel and next to the account you just created click on "Configure FTP Client." On the screen that appears, under FileZilla click on "FTP Configuration." This will download a script to ensure you have the correct settings in FileZilla to connect to the server.
You may want to remove your existing settings for this FTP account from FileZilla before doing the above. This will help avoid any potential confusion between the automatic configuration and your manual configuration that was previously attempted.
Many times this issue occurs due to firewall or antivirus softwares like norton. Try disabling them, if it works disabling them then you have to configure your firewall or antivirus softwares. Many times it happens that "it was working yesterday, I did not changed anything in settings but today it is not working. How did this happened?" this is caused by the antivirus software which we should keep for autoupdate. Sometimes the autoupdate of the antivirus softwares resets the firewall configuration set by them in which the FTP gets blocked.
First of all, check the domain, that is pointing on correct DNS server, if you changed recently, it may take 12 to 24 hours for update OR you can use IP address as host address instead of domain name in ftp.
If you are able to login to cpanel successfully, you no need to create ftp account, you can use the same cpanel username and password as ftp username password to login to ftp.
If you want to additional ftp account, you can use the ftp manager to create ftp account. For example, you created "testing" as ftp user name, then your ftp username will be like testing@yourdomain.com to connect to ftp.
Access denied message mostly occurs when you are not having sufficient permission to access files/directories due to that first check if you are accessing correct file or not? or you are having permission to access files or not? as well as check the ownership for files/directories.
