    Hello sunnysherry,

Can you try using cpanel.mysite.com to see if that works? It could be that wherever you are trying to access restricts port 2082 or 2083 and only allows 80 and 443 ports in the firewall. cpanel.mysite.com would use port 80 for http and port 443 for https traffic rather than the cPanel ports.

If that doesn't work, then try the direct url mysite.com:2082 or https://mysite.com:2083

For the File Manager versus FTP issues for file uploading, please contact your hosting provider. They will be the best source for these questions.

    Thanks

yes my cpanel opens when i use this address cpanel.mysite.com but not opens when i use mysite.com/cpanel so what happens is that my ftp software filezilla only connects when my site opens with mysite.com/cpanel. which hardly happens sometimes. on the other hand with cpanel.mysite.com opens my cpanel but doesn't connect ftp software.

For this I tried to use online ftp service they worked and also proxy browser they also worked with this way mysite.com/cpanel and also it worked with others computers who are in net cafe but my pc don't open it this way.

So whenever i want to transfer files to my site i use online ftp service but there are some problems and that is they don't have options of file transfer like auto, asc11.binary, and i have to use them and they don't transfer folder. they just transfer files one file at a time.

So can you tell me any way through which i can transfer my complete folder not files and also file type change like auto, binary, asc11 through any ftp software which can work with this way cpanel.mysite.com or do you know any way which i can configure my filezilla software to connect through this way cpanel.mysite.com to open my hosting account.

And you are right that i have to contact with my hosting provider regarding my ftp issue for file uploading.

    Many thanks to you!

You would not use either of those URLs for accessing your account via filezilla. In your FTP client simply use yourdomain.com for host. Or the IP address of the server you're on.

I used in my ftp software mydomain.com for host and also ip which was given by my host provider but it says connection timed out Failed to retrieve directory listing.

what i experienced is filezilla only open if my cpanel opens with this way mysite.com/cpanel which hardly happens and when it doesn't open through this way then my ftp software also don't open. so i want to know a way to connect my ftp software with cpanel.mysite.com address. because this address works in opening my cpanel all the time.

This indicates a problem with the FTP service that your hosting provider needs to resolve. I suggest contacting them and providing them with the exact error message you are receiving. It's possible there are some firewall rules they will need to configure differently to allow listing files and uploading via FTP.

    Thank you.
