Image linking problem

I've got a problem linking to images. I get a file not found page, but I can link to other objects (places on other pages for example). I can't get it to show any image, even if I request it in my browser window--yet these images will show if they are posted on the page proper. (I have been doing thumbnails & popping up larger images, suddenly it won't work on linked images. Popups done proprietarily (within my design program, sitespinner) pop, but they are the images themselves.

On another site also hosted here, linking to images works fine.

I've checked: file names are all lower case, no spaces or symbols; upload was binary; file manager shows the images I'm trying to link to...aieee I hope somebody can help!

I would suggest that you ask your web hosting provider. They are best placed to help you.
