    Default IMAP server

I am having a problem. I cannot get the IMAP server to start. When I try to start it in WHM I get theis error:

    Attempting to restart inetd
    Waiting for inetd to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished.

    inetd status root 29660 0.0 0.1 3380 812 ? S 20:59 0:00 xinetd -stayalive -pidfile /var/run/xinetd.pid

inetd has failed, please contact the sysadmin

I cannot find any documentation on how to address this. Is there a configuration file somewhere? Is IMAP part of cpanel? Or a program that has to be installed. I was under the impression that it was included in cpanel. Any help would be apprectiated. Thanks
    Bob

    cPanel/Enkompass Access Level

    Root Administrator

    Default

    ps ax | grep inetd

check if there are any other processes ( child) of inetd running. if so kill them.

The answer you may be looking for is in another thread. Search for my nickname and you'll see it's one of the other posts I made recently. I hope that helps.
