Index page appears instead of home page!

I am currently redesigning and configuring my sight that someone else originally posted. I redid the index.html file with a clean css code. Mind you I have much to learn in this regard. After uploading the page zoeinjewels.com I am taken directly to my cpanel index of/ page instead of my newly configured home page.

Advise Please

Thx

Temp Solution

The address to my new index page is zoeinjewels.com/Index.html, which is longer then the previous zoeinjewels.com so I did a redirect in the cpanel. If you have any better solutions please do advise!

Thanks

Shunyata

If you are seeing the default cPanel page, then I suspect the problem to be a mixup with website IP.
* Make sure your domain is resolving to the VHost's IP for the domain.

Do what nickp666 put, I looked it gets a 404 error not the cpanel page, your website is looking for index.htm, index.html index.php and maybe even default.htm but it is not looking for Index.html your Index.html file is misnamed, make it index.html linux is cAsE sEnSiTive.

Yes, it should be index.html not Index.html .. if you still want to use Index.html enter following code in your .htacess

open .htacess file and enter
DirectoryIndex Index.html
