    Default Install GD Library

I've been asked to install the GD Library.

Now I've been able to install it through YAST from the original SUSE10 disk but CPanel has not picked it up.

Is there another way to install the GD libraries for CPanel? Or is there something I need to do get CPanel to it?

    Ta in advance

    Hello,

You can compile GD as a PHP module using the easyapache script.

Yep, just go to WHM -> Software -> Apache Update and proceed through to step 5, then click the button for exhaustive options and just check the box for GD then proceed with the build process.

Thanks for that, it worked. Up to a point.

Apparently I need to have Yum installed for the Apache Update to work.
However I've since discovered that Yum doesn't work on SUSE Enterprise 10 and therefore it's not a supported OS.
So it's been suggested I install CentOS, Fedora or a commercial version of SUSE (?).

It would have been nice to have known this a year ago when it was set up.
