Hey Folks,
Apologies if this is a well known issue, I've had a look through the forums and can't seem to see any other threads reporting this issue.
I performed a fresh install of CentOS 5.2, did a yum update then downloaded and ran the cPanel installer. The installer didn't prompt for any options but when it was done I tried to visit the cpanel url.
Except there's no httpd installed, trying to restart apache manually via the init.d script just doesn't work:
root@www01 [~]# /etc/init.d/httpd restart
Stopping httpd: [FAILED]
Starting httpd: /bin/bash: /usr/sbin/httpd: No such file or directory
[FAILED]
root@www01 [~]#
According to the installation instructions, I don't have to have Apache installed when I run the installer - but it seems like this isn't the case.
These are the instructions I'm using:
http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/1..._overview.html
Am I missing something obvious? Any help is greatly appreciated!
