Default Installing CPanel on a working server

Hi! Our company is interested in moving our hosting server to CPanel. The problem is we already have a Debian server for that purpose (apache, Communigate) with several dozens of hosted sites. So the question is: is there a way of installing CPanel on such a server without breaking all the active configuration, or shall we have to necessarily install CPanel on a dedicated server and then manually move all the sites to that server?

Also, as I am very new to CPanel... Does it use some specific mail server or can be integrated with any?

You have to install cpanel on a clean OS.
