Default IP Addresses not coming back up?

When setting up our server, I noticed that WHM did not have the Secondary IPs in its pool, so I proceeded to manually at them. After doing so, I setup our nameservers as desired and moved on. I did a reboot of the machine to make sure everything was saving correctly and when the machine came back up I noticed a problem.

The IP addresses were no longer showing up when running ifconfig. Additionally, WHM no longer showed the IPs in the "Show IP Address Usage" screen. But after poking around a bit more, the IPs did show on the "Show or Delete Current IP Addresses" screen. So it seems they are in some places, but not others. This isn't good.

Can you tell me what is causing the IPs to not properly restore upon reboot??

    Thank you!

Have you ran " service ipaliases restart "?

That will rebuild your ip address pool.

If it is set to run and running ipaliases works to recreate the virtual ethernet devices, you may be suffering from a bug that occurs occasionally. The simplest workaround is to add the following line to the bottom of /etc/rc.d/rc.local:

    /etc/init.d/iptaliases start
