    Default ModSecurity set-up

I am using PHP with phpSuExex on my Apache server and would like to install ModSecurity (available at cPanel add-ons).

What common problems might occur after installation, what settings are important for ModSecurity? I wouldn't like to have additional downtime after installing this mod, so it would be nice to hear something from your experience with ModSecurity.

    Thanks in advance.

There is no downtime. Install through cpanel addons and search for a ruleset that is fitting for your needs. There are many posts available as well as gotroot.com

You may need to enter your ruleset directly into
    /usr/local/apache/conf/modsec.user.conf
