Thread: my IP address is banned from cpanel...

    Default my IP address is banned from cpanel...

    I tried to access a password protected directory with the incorrect login info a few too many times. Now i'm banned and can't login to cpanel or see my site.

    How long with it take to reset itself?
    Will it reset itself?
    What should i do?

    Normally it will block for 1 hour, you may contact your host to release the IP and you may login again.

    If you have root access to the server and can log in via SSH, you can remove the entry from the cPHulkd MySQL database. There are several threads in the forums that explain how to do this. One example is the following:

    If you do not have root access to the server, or cannot log in via SSH, you will need to contact your host and ask to have this done for you.
