MYSql Need Urgent Help

i am a newbie, my server is VDS, and it was working fine all along, i just checked and see my mysql is acting wired or crashing have no idea.. getting the following error. If i restart mysql in whm it works for a while then it goes off.. please help


/scripts/restartsrv mysql

DBI connect('mysql:localhost','root',...) failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) at /scripts/restartsrv_mysql line 74
mysql has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "mysql has failed").


also my memory is at very high position

now i cant even restart at whm same error. please help
