Is it a very large file? If so you might have more luck doing a full account backup from the old cPanel if possible and move that via whatever method you're comfortable with to the new server, place it in the correct directory:

Quote:
This feature will restore full backups, cpanel backups and cpanel move files in the format of: cpmove-user.tar.gz, user.tar.gz, backup-date_time_user.tar.gz

The files must be in one of these directories on the server: /home, /home2, /home3, /root, /usr, /usr/home, /web

You must upload the file to one of the above locations before using this feature.

Possible cpmove archives found:

And restore the FULL account from WHM that way.

What was the "exact" error? Paste it here for better assistance.

It's possible the backup was incomplete or the transfer was interrupted.

Sometimes (particularily with larger accounts), it's better to transfer accounts
directly from the SSH shell command line instead of from WHM.

1. Run "/scripts/pkgacct <account-login>" for each account that is having
difficulties transferring.

2. Get the "cpmove" file generated from /home and transfer it to your new
server with either FTP, rcp, or rsh transfer.

3. On the new server, /scripts/unpkgacct for each transferred account
or use WHM to restore the "cpmove" files you left in /home.

DON'T CREATE ACCOUNTS IN ADVANCE ON NEW SERVER !!!
