New user, couple of questions

Hello, this is my first time hosting a website and i just have a few questions.

1, I want to connect to my server via Telnet or SSH, but i dont know how to, when i put in my ip and port, it just sais cannot connect to host, i think my port is wrong, but im not sure.

2. i cant log into domain.com/whm, is it a separate login to cpanel?

3. In the video tutorial in the SSH/Shell Access page, it shows having a java telnet applet, but for me it doesnt show, and would be very helpful if it did show for question1.

4. I saw something about a cPGS, how do i enable/install that for my server?


If any questions can be answered, that would be great. thank you

Do you have a shared hosting account or your own server?

(IE: Do you have root "WHM" access or just Cpanel only?)
