    Default Newb question about backups

    Hey,

we've generated a full site backup for a client, and the default is to place this in his home directory. Seeing as how I'm really new to Cpanel I have no idea how to make it accessable to him from there. Is there any easy way to make it downloadable without using an external FTP, for instance could he just download the backup from his user account?

Any help would be much appreciated!

You can download it via FTP but if you would like to download it directly from the web then you need to move the backup-*.tar.gz file that you generated into the client's "/public_html" folder

You can move the backup using the "File Manager" feature in Cpanel, with CSE (configserver.net), or using SSH shell access.
